Seira Impuls Cooperatiu has signed a financing operation with the cooperative Som Mobilitat, together with ImpaktEU, representing a significant milestone for ethical finance and sustainable mobility at the European level. This agreement supports the growth of a benchmark cooperative project and helps consolidate a model of shared, democratic electric mobility oriented towards the common good.

Through this operation, we are providing a loan that will enable Som Mobilitat to expand its fleet of shared electric vehicles and continue extending its services to citizens, institutions, organisations and companies across the territory. The project contributes directly to reducing emissions, optimising resources and democratising access to electric mobility.
This is one of the first operations of its kind in the European Union, both in its approach and in the instruments used, and it highlights the potential of intercooperation when social economy organisations and ethical finance institutions join forces to multiply social and environmental impact.

Together with ImpaktEU, we have structured the financing through innovative instruments adapted to the needs of the social economy, such as quasi‑equity, which provides long‑term resources without diluting cooperative governance. These mechanisms are key to enabling the growth of organisations that do not operate with traditional capital, yet generate high social and environmental value. The operation is also supported by Tandem Social, an organisation specialising in the support and development of cooperative projects, helping to ensure that the agreement is fully aligned with the values of cooperativism and ethical finance.
With this agreement, we reaffirm our conviction that the transition towards decarbonised mobility can be cooperative, community‑based and democratic, and that social finance plays a fundamental role in driving transformative, viable and scalable projects.
At Seira Impuls Cooperatiu, we continue to move forward in our commitment to promoting initiatives that put people at the centre, strengthen the social economy and actively contribute to transforming the country’s economic and mobility model.
