We took part in the launch event of the new phase of the Financoop Network, a meeting that marks a turning point for cooperative finance and the social economy in Catalonia. Held at the Barcelona Association of Economists, the event highlighted the need to strengthen the sector’s financial instruments and to consolidate a stable space for coordination, advice and the development of new tools at the service of cooperatives and social economy organisations.
This relaunch positions Financoop as a benchmark network capable of responding to today’s economic challenges with a transformative approach oriented towards the common good.
During the event, Financoop was highlighted as a key space for coordinating cooperative finance, and the main financial gaps within the sector were identified. In response to this context, the network is committed to strengthening existing tools, promoting new instruments and improving support and intercooperation to back projects with social impact.
The signing of the memorandum of accession formalised the commitment of the organisations driving this new stage of Financoop, including public administration bodies, ethical and cooperative financial institutions, credit sections and foundations linked to the social economy. At Seira Impuls Cooperatiu, we thus reaffirm our role as a financial tool at the service of cooperativism and our commitment to developing a stronger, more coordinated financial ecosystem, oriented towards meeting the real needs of the sector.
With the relaunch of the Financoop Network, we move forward collectively to build greater financial capacity, strengthen the solvency of cooperatives and actively contribute to a fairer economy, rooted in the territory and centred on people.
