Seira Foundation participates in FEBEA’s 25th Annual Conference in Venice

Seira Foundation participated in the 25th Annual Conference of the European Federation of Ethical and Alternative Banks and Financiers (FEBEA), held in Venice and organized by Banca Etica. The gathering brought together representatives from Europe’s leading ethical finance organizations to reflect on the sector’s current challenges and strengthen cooperation among organizations committed to an economy that serves people.

As part of the session “European and local finance for cooperative mobility”, Seira Foundation presented the financing operation developed jointly with Impakteu to support the growth of the Som Mobilitat cooperative. This initiative represents a milestone in the field of European ethical finance, as it combines diverse resources and expertise to address the financing needs of an innovative cooperative project focused on sustainable mobility.

Participation in this session provided an opportunity to share a practical experience of collaboration between actors in ethical finance and the social economy, highlighting the role of transformative financial tools in supporting the growth of cooperative initiatives with social and environmental impact.

Beyond this contribution, the conference explored the role of ethical finance ecosystems in the development of Europe’s social economy. Various sessions emphasized the importance of cooperation, diversity among stakeholders, and the building of bridges between territories and organizations to address today’s social, economic, and environmental challenges.

The event also served to renew FEBEA’s governing bodies and reaffirm the federation’s commitment to a more cohesive Europe, where ethical finance continues to be a tool that serves communities and social transformation.

For Seira Foundation, participating in this European forum is an opportunity to strengthen alliances, share knowledge, and continue promoting financial solutions that contribute to the development of cooperatives and the social economy.
