Training

Improving the financial culture of businesses is crucial to successfully developing cooperative economy initiatives.
The closeness of the Seira Foundation to worker’s cooperatives allows it to identify recurrent financial needs and offer tailored solutions.
The Seira Foundation offers the following training options:

FemPla: Economic and financial planning tool. Designed to ease economic and financial decision-making and identify funding needs to streamline existing resources.

Finance manuals: Handbooks to learn about specific issues such as equity loans or how to prepare a banking negotiation.

CuEmE Program: Entrepreneurial culture at school. The program fosters an entrepreneurial culture and basic abilities in the last years of primary education. During a school year, students create and manage a school cooperative with the support of the school, local government, businesses and other local organizations.

FemPla

Seira Impuls Cooperatiu has developed a tool that complements the extensive list of options available to member worker's cooperatives to improve their possibilities to access funds.
The FemPla tool aims to ease decision-making and identify the financial needs in investment and working capital.
Cooperatives using FemPla can assess their income-generating capacity for the future and streamline existing financial resources to achieve their business goals.

Who is FemPla for?

FemPla is a free and open-access tool for consolidated worker's cooperatives and those in development seeking to make their business grow.
The tool is easy to use. An online tutorial is available. First, you must create a user and then follow the instructions to create your project. If you have any doubts, get in touch with the Foundation.
The Catalan Worker Cooperatives Federation regularly organizes in-person workshops to learn how to excel with the FemPla tool. If interested, contact:

What can you achieve using FemPla?

The FemPla program allows for three-year projections of the profit and loss account, 12-month liquidity forecasts, balance sheets, and economic and financial ratio analysis. These are crucial instruments to build trust towards financial institutions and investors.
The tool also makes it possible to download these documents and insert them in the banking negotiation.
